‘Holding Space’
A Trauma-Sensitive Guide for Midwives, Birth Workers, and Women’s Health Practitioners
Meet Amy
I’ve spent years beside women in the birth room as a midwife, and now I walk with them through the emotional aftermath – unpacking their stories, helping them make sense of what happened, and helping them move towards healing.
I created this guide because I know how often birth trauma shows up in places we don’t expect – in postpartum bodywork consults, physio appointments, lactation sessions, and casual conversations with trusted practitioners. You don’t have to be a therapist to hold space with care. You just need a few simple tools and a whole lot of heart. That’s what this guide is here to offer.
